Read (from the New Living Translation)
44Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume.
47I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” 48 Then Jesus said to the woman, Your sins are forgiven.
Luke 7:44-48

Twenty-one years ago, I was the one who stepped outside of our marriage. My husband not only forgave me, he also pursued my heart. I saw Christ’s love through him and learned so much about my Heavenly Father because of the faith my husband has in Him. We are stronger now, and my faith in and walk with Christ has grown immensely through our valley.
Thank you, Darren for that testimony. My husband of 15 yrs had an affair and only by God allowing me to see the truth did I find out about it. I had 4 small children and they needed their daddy, so I swallowed my pride and forgave him…not for the right reasons though. The next yr was so hard. But once I laid it all at the feet of Jesus, I was healed, and we soon had a much better, close relationship together. I wish I could tell you it is still as strong. Just after our 30th anniversary, he… Read more »
Amen. Thank you for sharing!
I am currently going through a similar situation except my spouse will not admit his wrong doing to me.
that is an issue for God to deal with, with your spouse. Your forgiveness of him is your obedience to God. I only learned that a few years ago when the Holy Spirit directed me to wash my Dad’s feet when he was in the hospital being investigated for cancer, which took him about 2 months later. I hated my dad for decades, you know, one of those love/hate relationships. After I washed his feet, I felt such a release and then at his funeral, such joy – it was incredible! How obedience is such a challenge…I never could have… Read more »
I can relate … my wife won’t admit to something she done yesterday even if it don’t pertain to nothing important
Darren, I’m happy you found Jesus!
