When Your Problem is Just Too Big || Joy Summers

You made it to Day 4! Just a reminder, if you ever need prayer as you work through these topics, please comment below or visit WAY-FM’s Prayer Wall. We’d love to pray for you and encourage you!

Read (from the New Living Translation)

David asked the soldiers standing nearby, “What will a man get for killing this Philistine and ending his defiance of Israel? Who is this pagan Philistine anyway, that he is allowed to defy the armies of the living God?”

1 Samuel 17:26

Go Deep

Have you ever looked at your problems and thought, “This is just too big.” Joy Summers (of CJ & Joy) has been there, too!! In today’s video, Joy gets into the details of how we can start looking beyond our fears and at a God who is bigger than we can imagine!

Notes from the Life Application Study Bible

What a difference perspective can make. Most of the onlookers saw only a giant. David, however, saw a mortal man defying almighty God. Goliath was a target too big to miss. He knew he would not be alone when he faced Goliath; God would fight with him. He looked at his situation from God’s point of view. Who or what are the “giants” you are facing?

Thank you for this Jeri. I am adding this to my daily notes because it was profound for me to read this. I also suffer with anxiety and pretty severe PTSD. I need to remind myself that the enemy uses this to try to destroy me so I will trust God to protect me.

My daughter has an ultra rare terminal illness. She’s only 1 of 250 children in the world still living with this. She requires round the clock care so my wife has to quit work. For a while I was able to work 2 jobs to provide for my family. But since the pandemic I’ve had to leave that 2nd job. God has blessed us with helping us find the money to keep our house and keep the bills paid. But I know it won’t be long until I will have to find another 2nd job and I’m scared of bringing… Read more »
