It’s all from the perspective of Luke – the guy who wrote the book of Luke in the Bible! After CJ (from CJ & Joy) watched this video, he said knowing more about the author actually made the story more real to him! Here’s his note to you about the today’s video:
First off, Luke must have been a really astute dude! Think about how detailed all these stories are! For someone who is so diligent & thorough, he’s supremely confident that God is about to turn the world order upside down!
In my experience, most people that are wired like Luke don’t speak out of emotion. They’re methodical & careful about what they share with others. My brother is a lot like Luke. Being extremely sure about everything before you share anything. Luke does all this research & reports in great detail – not about something he has faith in, but about things he’s witnessed and experienced himself! Things he saw!
Making a personal connection with the storyteller like this brings depth to an already amazing tale. Now that I’m invested in Luke as a person, I’m hanging on every detail of how Jesus came into this world!

The Bible Project says, “If God’s really coming to save the world, this isn’t how you would expect him to arrive… Everything is backwards in Luke’s story and that’s the point! He is showing how God’s kingdom was first revealed in these dirty places amongst the poor because Jesus is here to bring salvation by turning our world order upside down.”
They hurried to the village and found Mary and Joseph. No matter how often I hear the story of Jesus birth I’m amazed by the path God chose to save us!
