It’s hard to talk about fear and not think about the tragedies we see on the news every day. We’ve all had those moments when we think, “That could happen to anyone… Even me.” Let’s talk about keeping that fear from controlling our minds and what truths God gives us to think on instead.
Read (from the New Living Translation)

1 Samuel 17:26
Go Deep
When walking into a football stadium just days after a tragic shooting, Justin Paul (from WAY-FM) was reminded of something his mother used to tell him. It was surprisingly relevant to every adult struggling with fear.
Notes from the Life Application Study Bible
Paul [author of 2 Timothy] mentions three characteristics of the effective Christian leader: power, love, and self-discipline. These are available to us because the Holy Spirit lives in us. Follow his leading each day so that your life will more fully exhibit these characteristics. See Galatians 5:22, 23 for a list of the by-products of the Holy Spirit living in us.
I have become afraid of so many things lately. Thank you for the reminder that God did not give me this feeling.
I have a lot of fear at night as a delivery driver. I have had over 7000 life time deliveries. And I have seen slot of bad things. Almost got car jacked on Halloween. So the fear of that happening again has made my job very difficult.
