Tom Hanks’s New Movie “Greyhound” Focuses on Faith

Adapted from the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd by C. S. Forester, Hanks wrote the screenplay himself set in WWII. Hanks’s character is a man guided by his Christian faith amid the horrors of war. Director Aaron Schneider to the Christian Post, “As soon as you bring a man of faith into a story as a hero, you’re almost immediately confronting everything that a man of faith holds dear.”

Grayson Russell, a Christian actor, said he thanked God for the opportunity to work on this film. Saved as a child actor, Russell has starred in movies like Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Greyhound is rated PG-13 and streaming now.
