The New Space Jam Will Feature Kirk Franklin’s Latest Song with Rapper Lil Baby

Kirk Franklin has collaborated with Christian artists For King & Country, TobyMac, and Tauren Wells. But the respect for his unique and powerful voice has bled into the mainstream, and his number of collabs with mainstream artists keeps growing. Everyone from Tori Kelly to Josh Groban to Chance the Rapper has featured Kirk Franklin on their tracks.

With a different feel than the original Jock Jams style Space Jam soundtrack, “We Win” brings more of a gospel music feel to Lebron’s version of Space Jam. While Kirk Franklin brings the gospel feel to the music, surprisingly, Lil Baby brings the gospel feel to the lyrics. Lyrics like “As long as I put my faith and trust in God I know everything’ll be fine,” are weaved into Lil Baby’s without making the fabric of the song preachy or cheesy. If the rest of the new Space Jam’s soundtrack lives up to the first track, as an audience, we win.
