Mercy Me’s crossover mega hit “I Can Only Imagine” propelled them to national stardom in 1999. They’ve built on that success with 7 #1 singles. And now, they continue to build on that success with helium renditions of retro classics like “Take on Me” and “Stayin’ Alive.”
Even though their perfect helium harmonies make them sound like a more classic version of the Chipmunks, their future success may not be in covering Alvin, Simon, and Theodore. More likely, they’ll find their success in releasing new albums like Inhale (Exhale), which releases on April 30, 2021.
