Some heroes have capes, this one has a hairbrush! The kindness of ER nurse Brooke Johns from Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas is taking the internet by storm. On Brooke’s days off you can find her visiting the hospital going above and beyond her job description to care for her patients.
Because of strict visitation rules due to Covid-19 many hospitalized patients go without seeing their families for weeks. Brooke is able to provide them with some much needed genuine human connection and care. “I feel like there’s something very special about brushing somebody’s hair,” Johns told Good Morning America. “It’s something just relaxing and very connecting.”
