Anne Wilson Tells The Story Behind Her Song “My Jesus”

Anne Wilson and her family experienced a devastating tragedy. A hopeless situation forced Anne to evaluate who God really is. She had to make a decision if she believed God and if she could trust Him even when it didn’t make sense. Through processing this life event and learning to worship through hardship, God led Anne on a different journey than she expected. He is giving her opportunity to share her story and to give hope and encouragement to others who are in difficult times.

This experience also inspired Anne’s song “My Jesus”. The song is a worshipful tribute to her Heavenly Father that demonstrates her desire for people to know that Jesus can help us through any situation we are going through. It also reminds us that God uses our trials, so we can help others and tell our story of how God works in our lives.

Jordan St. Cyr has also lived through a painful situation with his daughter. Watch his interview with Bekah to learn how God led him through the fires.

I love this song also. During the music video, I realized that Anne lost a loved one and that God brought her through this hard situation.

I too lost my brother in 1971, when he was only 15 years old. That pain will always be a part of my life but because of my faith in Jesus, He has brought me through the pain and now I look forward to the day when I will be reunited with Allan,
( my brother).
