These 5 Jesus Centered Love Stories Will Make You Swoon!

Who doesn’t adore a good love story? And it’s even better when you get to see it play out from crush to happily ever after. But what I love even more than a happy ending is seeing the journey to get to that special someone.

If you are anything like me, still single and waiting on the man of my dreams, it is easy to lose hope that it will happen at all. These are some of my favorite stories that remind me of God’s plan is incredible and to hold on to that hope!

Rebecca St. James and Jacob “Cubbie” Fink

In 2000 Rebecca St. James released, “Wait For Me.” I don’t know about you, but 14 year old me had this song on repeat! I was thrilled to imagine how Rebecca St. James’ love story would play out and was inspired to pray the same things for my life.

( I wonder how many of the other girls on this list were inspired by this song!)

It took some time, but in 2011, Rebecca married Jacob Fink (from the band Foster the People.) Her brother, Joel Smallbone (from for King & Country and next on our list for his sweet romance,) sang “Wait For Me” at the wedding!

(All together now, aaawwwww!!! 😍)

Moriah Peters and Joel Smallbone

Okay, before you watch this video there is one incredible thing you need to know… Moriah and Joel had their first kiss during their ceremony! Is that not the sweetest thing ever?? Okay, you are now free to watch the video and swoon…

And if saving their first kiss didn’t make you swoon enough, did you hear that song she wrote and sang with her now husband?!? Could it be any cuter??? 💕 What I love so much about Moriah and Joel’s story is that even when others (like the judges on American Idol) told her that saving her first kiss was limiting her career or her life, she stayed true to what she believed. That is so beautiful! Props to Moriah for knowing your true identity isn’t in what others think you are but in who God created you to be! 🙌🏼

Tori Kelley and André Murillo

I don’t know about you but this song has been on the top of my “Still Waiting” playlist for YEARS!

(Yes, I have a still waiting playlist, it’s the best thing to play when I need a good reminder that I am not alone and I can wait! See what is on my playlist here!)

First off, girl can SING!  But what I really love is that Tori was belting out some serious truth,

“But I’d love to have a soul mate
God will give him to me someday
And I know it’ll be worth the wait”

And guess what??? God totally did exactly that! Tori married André Murillo in May! Seriously, how stunning does Tori look? And did anybody else notice that her new husband looks pretty similar to her imaginary man in the music video? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Jamie Grace and Aaron Collins

I am going to be honest with you, I haven’t really followed Jamie’s story for very long but when I saw that she was inviting all of her fans to her wedding, I took notice and then totally fell in love with her – and her story! I adore that her wedding video song wasn’t only about how much she loves her man, but an encouragement for those of us who have yet to find that person!

Taya Smith and Ben Gaukrodger

Taya and Ben’s story is so interesting to me because it was such a mystery! I love that in the time we live, where everything is public and all over social media, they kept their relationship their own for so long! This video just makes me smile because it feels like you are hearing a good friend tell you all about how much she likes this boy! If you are still single, Taya’s got some really good advice for you too, so hold on until the end!

All of these stories encourage and remind me that God is the best love story author! He has such great plans for us whether it is marriage right now or killing it in your single life. God writes the absolute best stories for our lives!
