Maybe Michael could have waited or worded his sentiments differently, but that doesn’t make his statements wrong (Matthew 5:44 ; Romans 12:14). Police brutality and racism are a frightening realities we’re trying to actively change for the sake of our neighbors and loved ones.
Prayer and action go hand in hand. Let’s encourage one another in hard ways to bring God’s kingdom to earth by seeking justice while also loving mercy and walking humbly for the good of others – even when we disagree.
