The Top 10 Christian Songs of 2019 Ranked

2019 was a great year for Christian Music.

Artists weren’t afraid to tackle difficult subjects like what it means to doubt and if it’s ok to ask God “Why”, but I still heard a lot of fun and encouraging music that made me smile.

2019 also seemed to be the year when everyone wanted to lend their voice to the Christian Music world.

Out of nowhere, we saw Dolly Parton collaborate with Zach Williams and for King & Country, and then later in October Kanye West dropped his long-anticipated gospel album to rave reviews.

I wonder what surprising collaborations we’ll see in 2020.

So what are the songs that shaped 2019 the most?

According to WAY-FM’s “Top 20”, here are 10 most popular songs this year.

10.) Switchfoot – Native Tongue
9.) Casting Crowns – Only Jesus
8.) for KING & COUNTRY – Burn the Ships
7.) Micah Tyler – Even Then

6.) Unspoken – Reason

5.) Jeremy Camp – My Defender

4.) Austin French – Born Again
3.) MercyMe – Best News Ever
2.) Jeremy Camp – Dead Man Walking
1.) for KING & COUNTRY – God Only Knows

These are the songs that made our list, but we’d love to hear the songs that impacted you the most this year. Feel free to share them in the comments below.

Lauren Daigle’s Rescue. It has been a difficult year and 2020 is not of to a good start either. I have to keep my faith in God and know that He, and only He can recue me. He is always there even when I can’t feel Him. If I lose my faith I literally have nothing.

Rend Collective is my absolute favorite Christian band and I’m sad that they’re rarely featured on the radio. Their music is so full of depth and joy and hope….. please let people know about them! “One and Only” and “Joy of the Lord” are two of my favorites!
