It’s easy to get swept away in the rush of everyday life and forget to be grateful for all the things we’ve been given, especially during the holiday season. When that happens, little by little, we start to feel on-edge, easily angered, and forget about the goodness of God. But I’m hoping that these verses will help foster a heart of thankfulness and bring you back to what’s most important, Jesus.
Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.
Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.
Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.
Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. For we know it is made acceptable by the word of God and prayer.
